(PS1) Tales of Destiny

The second entry in the series is the first appeared on Playstation (and many others will come), published by Namco in 1997.
Tales of Destiny shares with its predecessor the battle system, a 2D environment in which actions are take in real time while casting spells requires a chanting time that increases directly with its complexity.
There are also ranged and special melee attacks and the player is rewarded with more EXP when all characters in the party perform multi-hit combos : this makes the game much more action oriented than traditional RPGs. Despite this, Tales of Destiny was highly appreciated and many positive comments were reserved to its particular (for the time) battle system.
