Pokemon Stadium is not a RPG as the handheld counterparts but a merely a 3D turn-based battle and by using the Transfer Pack accessory Pokemons from Gameboy can be transferred, organized, stored and traded on Nintendo 64
In Japan the original Pokemon Stadium was released in 1998 but due to technical limitations only 42 Pokemon were available, remaining Pokemons can be viewed through the Pokedex but the battle animation is lacking.
It was only released in Japan.
