The second volume nowadays should be considered as an expansion (or DLC) considering the features added from previous title.
This time there are not only two different mobile suits available, the RX-79BD-1 (already seen in volume 1) and the RX-79BD-2 but also a Zalu from the Principality of Zeon, the MS-08TX because some missions are seen from the point of view of the rebel side.
Stages are still 5 like in the previous entry but this volume supports the Twin Arcade Stick.
Gundam Gaiden vol.2 was released only in Japan.
