Horizontal shoot’em up made by a small company called Affect (Chase HQ port on Saturn) and published by Unipacc in 1990.
The game is highly inspired to Gradius, or better it’s a clone of Gradius, something very common especially in shoot’em up genre during the end of 80s and beginning of 90s.
The spaceshift called XDR has a main weapon, upgradable, and can shoot missiles, which can be upgraded too; during the game the player can found also options, which works in the same way as seen in Gradius, and 1UP extras. The game is set on 6 different stages and at the end of each one a boss must be defeated by… yes, exactly, shoot in the core, as in Gradius.
Not properly the most original game in the genre but it’s quite enjoyable.
It was released only in Japan.
