(FC) Ninja Gaiden II

Set a year after the events seen in the first episode, Ninja Gaiden II see the return of Ryu Hayabusa, a ninja who has been hired by US Army to save the world from the Real of Darkness.
The new features introduced in this sequel are the Power Boosting Items and the possibility for Ryu to climb up and down walls; the Power Boosting Items consume Ryu’s ninja power and are special weapons such as shurikens, fireballs and a barrier of three fireballs.
Despite being a difficult game especially in the latter levels, Ninja Gaiden II was highly praised for improved graphics, gameplay, cinematics and the new Power Boosting Items and after its release it was even considered one of the best sequels ever made.
